I've been doing a lot of reading on the BPA we're exposed to regularly thanks to the plastic industry putting it in lots of bottles, cans and other food containers.
Here's a good blog entry on this to really break it down for you if you're not up on the topic:
Harmful Plastics
But the bottom line is that you shouldn't eat/drink out of anything that has a plastic number of 3, 6 or 7. Of cours that includes most Nalgene bottles and the beloved Avent bottles I used with both kids.
I'm in the process of ordering Jay and me new water bottles and plan on replacing all the baby bottles I have too since they get a lot of use once I go back to work and start sending expressed milk to daycare. One more thing to add to the list of things I have yet to do for this baby. Did you know she'll be here in like 12 weeks? Gulp.

oh no.. :( I have used the same Avent bottles with both boys... (sigh)
Guess I'll be trashing them in another month. Arrrrgh....
We've gone BPA-free too! I love Gretchen's Born Free bottles, yes, they are pricey, but I LOVE THEM.
12-weeks....OMG! WOW! That means my baby will be a year really, really soon! Where has the time gone?
