Feeeeeeva!

Piper woke up at 3:30am this morning and I noticed she had a low fever. Gave her Motrin and back to bed. But when I got back to bed I realized that it felt very uncomfortable. My back and shoulders hurt, I couldn't get comfy, my head hurt and man, I was cold. Um, duh. Fever. I didn't take my temp but I took some Motrin and went back to bed. Woke up at 6am covered in sweat, clearly it broke.

Can't tell you the last time I had a fever. My MIL called at 6am to say my FIL was feverish as well. Not sure if he has the same thing that has gone through our house or not. Caroline and Bryce never had a fever. Bryce has a nasty, dry cough and Caroline is super stuffy. Jason said he's starting to feel bad too.

Damn plague. Last bit of winter, I guess. Although I really can't complain - we had a fairly painless winter illness season. Last year was our bad one, so I guess we earned the reprieve. I'm not saying spring couldn't be bad (trying to avoid the blog curse on this one), just that the WINTER wasn't. (And it ends on Friday!)

I am super stuffy, congested, and snotty. No more fever, but I've been medicating. My bigger fear is another ear infection after my trouble last spring, so I'm making sure to take Sudafed to keep my congestion down. I don't really like how I feel on Sudafed, but it's tons better than the most intense pain I've ever experienced in my life. Childbirth was pretty bad, but it wasn't in the side of my head and streaming down my neck constantly. At least contractions are a few minutes apart. I never want another ear infection. Ever.
